but arent warriors bad in PvP on account of them having to be up close to kill? or is there some special way for them to get close while people are running away?

I don't know why anyone would use frenzy over flurry. Flurry allows you the ability to be in the thick of it without worrying about double damage.

Lower energy cost over time, higher damage inflicted, warriors not being the target of focused fire very often, and (usually) having the ability to switch over to another stance if they become a target?

My build looks more like this now after a few revisions:

12+4 Axe mastery
9+1 Strength
9 Secondary class skill

Eviscerate(E)
Penetrating Blow
Axe Rake
Distracting Blow
Sprint
Executioners strike
Frenzy ( Tiger's fury if I went W/R )
*(Class skill / Rez Signet)*
If executioners does something close enough to eviserate in order to be called "the same thing" it would be wise to use it. Two eviserates wouldn't be bad...

All warriors should use sprint. And except for sprint, you have cripple, ward vs foes, someone else casting a snare hex on your target, etc.

Berseker stance
Dismember
Axe rake
Distracting blow
Sprint
Echo
Blackout

It would be nice to get some ally of yours to slow your target cause your target will always run away once you blackout him/her. Alternative, you can build adrenaline up first(to use dismember and rake so that you can cripple the enemy) and then blackout the enemy. Or even cast sprint in advance(get next to the enemy and cast sprint, echo, blackout).
Considering the fact that blackout constanstly resets adrenaline, and like you said people always run, I feel that swords are just a plain better fit for blackout warriors. Blackout warriors are all about having the ability to instantly screw your target from the word go. As in, IMO, call the target, hamstring then blackout. Blackout warriors, becuase you constantly reset adren and have disabled skills, are never really going to be about damage. I feel thier job is more of a "trapper". You screw the called, they flop helplessly around and there is nothing they can do when the damage-dealers on your team bring down the hammer. I also think that blackout warriors are a better fit for 4v4 where all your offense is generally only going to concentrated on a single target. And where there is likely to be only a single monk... a team build against which a blackout warrior truly shines.

Also, bleeding, while laughed at by most warriors, is one of the few ways for a blackout warrior to add DPS while using thier namesake skill.

Hmm Try this Warrior/Monk build - Use an Ebon or Zealous Mod and a Max Fortitude Mod - Superior Vigor/Absorption(Bah I can't Spell) Rune is always nice.
16 Axe (rune - Sup)
11 Strength (rune - Min)
8 Smite
3 Tactics (rune -Min)

Eviscerate*
Executioner's Strike
Penetrating Blow
Fear Me!
Frenzy
Sprint
Strength Of Honor
Resurrection Signet

Axes get more criticals and their criticals do more dmg. So its good to be able to inflict more dmg just by attacking. Also axe has many attack skills that dont require energy. Also, while the enemy is running from you, you inflict critical hits. And harmstring is extremely expensive and will prevent you from casting echo+4 blackouts consequtive. And last but not least, cripple can be easily removed(and it will be removed).

Your best bet is to just keep attacking and using adrenaline attacking skills till you gather enough energy to cast at least echo+2 blackouts(calculate regen over time and zealous energy). You shouldnt be casting 1 blackout at a time, cause as i said, it resets your adrenaline. So you dont want to cast blackout very often. Coordinate your blackout sessions with your teammates so that they can throw whatever they have during your blackout session(build up adrenaline, spike, whatever).

Blackout is actually MOST devastating when someone is low on life. Watch for a near-dead enemy (hopefully the monk), but in any case once ANY enemy is in desperate need of healing, blackout the opposing monk. That enemy will die.

Here is an ideea for a W/N to interrupt, go curses 12, strenght 10+1, axe or sword mastery 10+1+1.Use an icy sword or axe, cast Spinal Shivers on target then activate Warrior's Endurance while you attack. Spinal Shivers aloso works with an N/W that has a lager mana pool and could use frenzy instead of Warrior's Endurace.
